Kansas Library Association Virtual Conference October 29th

KLA is hosting their annual conference virtually this year.  Thursday, October 29th 9:00-5:00. The theme is Big Think- Innovation, Inspiration, Impact.

We have reserved Marvin 101BC if you would like to attend any of the sessions. Several staff who expressed interest helped select the sessions.  Thank you to everyone who helped choose.

Here is the line up for the day:

9:00-9:50         Innovate, Inspire and Impact your Library with TED TALKS
10:00-10:50     Accessible to All: Techniques for Creating User-friendly Presentations and other Content
11:00-11:50     Thinking on Your Feet: Staying in the Moment with Patrons and Co-workers
2:00-2:50         Challenging Conversations in Communities: Lissa Staley and Debbie Stanton
3:00-3:50       Click to Interact: What Library Educators Can Learn from Point and Click Games
4:00-4:50        Virtual Programming: Where do we go in the new normal?

If you have time on Thursday to attend any of these sessions please clear it will your supervisor and stop by.  Kristin will have a sign in sheet so those who attend can get credit for training. I will be in and out a lot that day to log into the virtual rooms.
