New! Donor Recognition Display in the Rotunda

We are so excited about the new donor recognition digital display in the library’s rotunda. The library contracted with Heurista of Asheville, NC to work with us on this project. Janel and I have been working for weeks on content, which is still a work in progress. If you have suggestions for content at any time, please feel free to let us know.

What you will see
The TV screen has billboard slides that rotate. The donor billboards have their names scrolling on the billboard slide. If people ask why they can’t find their name, please let them know that at this point we only have 2018 donors (cumulative totals that were in the Foundation’s Annual Report) and current 2019 donors. The Foundation plans to update the current year donors monthly so the billboard now is up-to-date through June 2019. People will search for names on the iPad and we have donors recorded if they donated in 2018 or 2019, purchased a brick or they are a Wilder Society member. We are waiting for Heurista to add the Leaves in the Atrium names later this week. One of the first objectives of the Foundation staff is to get names added of those who have past naming opportunities. These donors may also have a picture and summary of the gift.

One great feature of the Donor Recognition Display is the brick locator. Someone can search their name on the iPad and when it is located, the brick will be on the iPad screen. If they click on the brick, it will go to a map and highlight where the brick is located.
