When you’re ready to access Lynda.com, login with your library card number and PIN #. Here’s a screenshot of the login screen:
This is the same login screen customers use when accessing Lynda.
Once you’ve logged in, select the course or learning path that interests you. You can also search for specific subjects or products in the search bar at the top. For example, you could type in “making charts in Excel” and get to videos on that topic.
Here’s a cool feature that you all should know about. You can create Playlists of videos you’ve watched. I recommend making a playlists so you can quickly get back to content you’ve already watched and so you have a place to keep track of your own learning plan in Lynda. Making a playlist is easy. Every video has a toolbar in the upper right corner:
Click “Add to Playlist.” “Create Playlist” comes up:
By doing this, you will be able to quickly add video content to your playlist. Playlists will also display on the home page for Lynda after you’ve logged in.
