We Have Some Work To Do! Summer Reading Numbers after Week 7

Seven weeks down and 5 to go! This past week we recorded 167,397 minutes (about 20,000 more minutes than last week) of reading to bring our grand total to 1,185,400 minutes read so far this summer – 39% of our 3,000,000 goal.

We are over half way done with summer reading and not even half way to our goal.  We have a lot of work to do but I’m confident we can do it.

Keep encouraging folks to record their reading and don’t forget to record yours as well.

Below is the breakdown if you are interested.

About Stephanie Hall

I am the ultimate smut reader at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library. If there isn’t a good looking guy on the cover I probably won’t read it. I choose my nail polish color by its name (my favorite being Miss Fancy Pants), love any potato food (French fries are awesome especially if they are loaded), enjoy accessorizing and live to be the mom who can embarrass my kids with my ultimate coolness but still have them think I’m pretty awesome. Professionally, I love being a cheerleader for my staff and encouraging them to try new things. I manage the public services department and get to work with an incredibly smart and talented staff.
