• During the month of February, Topeka Metro will offer paperback copies, courtesy of the library, of “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald on Topeka Metro fixed route buses. Patrons are invited to take a book, read it, share it with

someone else and then return it to the bus so that it may be enjoyed by others.

• Beginning Monday, February 4th and running through Saturday, February 9th, Topeka Metro will offer FREE rides on the fixed route buses to passengers that present their TSCPL library card when boarding the bus.

“We see this as a  great opportunity for folks that enjoy and use our local library to try the bus at no cost,” said Susan Duffy, General Manager of Topeka Metro. “It’s so easy…just show your library card*.”

For more information, please call Topeka Metro Customer Service at 783-7000 or go to
www.topekametro.org. Additional information about “The Big Read” and the events scheduled
at the TSCPL during February can be found at www.tscpl.org/bigread.

*Bus patrons may show any of the three versions of the library card currently being used. Only the current card is shown on the flyer promoting the free service.
