Sunflower Summer App

The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library is participating in a program through the Kansas State Department of Education that promotes summer enrichment activities statewide.  Activities listed within the app are free to kids and up to two adults.  While we are no cost regularly, many of the places typically  would require admission.

You may get questions from participants.  They are able to simply select us to check us off their adventure list.  No staff intervention is necessary.

More information including FAQ can be found here:

The project just started and I understand there were 1,900 downloads yesterday from the Apple App Store.  They just featured the Rainforest Adventure in a FB and Twitter post as well, so we may get visitors from far and wide.

Make sure to take advantage of it with the kids in your life as well.

I love that the library and the Rainforest Adventure are highlighted (even though they’re already free). This is so neat!

Today we were trying to figure out if Sunflower Summer activities were still available or how long the program ran. I finally found it on the venue resources page. It runs through August 15th!
