Safety Can Be At Your Fingertips With This Free Webinar

Computers and the Internet have become an important part of our lives and our children’s lives. An estimated 77 million American children and teens are now online, according to the U.S. Justice Department. Although most of these internet experiences are likely positive, parents need to be aware of the dangers to better protect their children. Download the tip sheet to learn warning signs of your child being in contact with an offender and get ideas on how to limit the chance someone will take advantage of your child. Then register and attend the free webinar on February 21 at 2 p.m. central to review benefits, pitfalls and developmental guidelines for internet use. Examine the emotional and social tolls of internet use by children and how to address and prevent cyber bullying.

Get to the Heart, Because It Matters

February is American Heart Month, the perfect time to check out the health resources available for free through the EAP. The more you know about heart disease, the better chance you have of beating it. In fact, 80 percent of cardiac and stroke events may be prevented with education and action. Head over to the Health Resource Library on the EAP page of ndbh.com and find:

  • Tips to lower your risk for heart disease
  • How your lifestyle choices affect your heart
  • Factors that contribute to heart disease
  • Mental health ties to heart disease
  • Tools to monitor heart health
  • Strategies for improving heart health
  • Common diagnoses and ties to heart disease
  • And more

Find the Health Resource Library on both the employee and supervisor EAP sites of ndbh.com using the library passcode (tscpl)
