Updated @Home Delivery and Bookmobile Service Information

A few updates about TSCPL@Home deliveries and bookmobile services.

TSCPL@Home – In order to make the delivery process more efficient and functional while bookmobile are out in the community we are no longer delivering @Home deliveries on Mondays. Anyone previously assigned a Monday delivery day has been notified and reassigned a new delivery day.  Delivery route information has been updated in Polaris/LEAP, so if a patron calls in and wants to know when their delivery day is staff can access the account and correct information.

Bookmobiles – The bookmobiles are currently offering modified service to the public (yay!). At each stop one staff member is set up outside the vehicle to check-out holds and to help monitor the flow patrons entering the bus. Currently, only one car/family/pod of folks can be on the bookmobile at a time (along with the second staff member), and both doors are propped open per SCHD recommendations. At busier stops we are asking each pod to complete their browsing within 10 minutes; to help with demand we do have an on-site queue list that we can use to keep track of groups. Because of the need to have ample, safe outdoor space with our new service model some of our old traditional stops could not be utilized. The updated schedule with new temporary locations is located here. The new sites are Market Place Shopping Center at 29th and Gage (replacing Brookwood Shopping Center), Susanna Wesley UMC (replacing Dillons Urish), and Sutherlands (replacing Dillons North). Hours of operation have also changed. There may be times when it is unsafe for staff to remain at the stop (due to heavy rain, extremely high temperatures, etc.); should a stop need to close because of inclement conditions an all-staff email will be sent and the website will be updated.
