HyVee Smart Locker Service Ending

Starting Thursday, June 9 the HyVee Smart Locker will no longer be available for customers to use. HyVee is going through a large renovation and their redesign affects the space the locker is currently located. Therefore, the machine will be permanently removed.

We are thankful to HyVee’s support and for housing this service since 2014. Locker service will resume at a new location soon and an update will be shared once a new site is secured.

Communications and Marketing will be reaching out to patrons that utilize HyVee to let them know about the service changes. We also plan to have Circulation staff call customers that have holds assigned to this pickup location. If you happen to receive any calls, chats, or emails from customers about their HyVee holds, please help them determine a new pick location to use and change it for them in LEAP or Polaris. We have a variety of pickup options to offer them depending on the customer’s needs.

If we have a customer on the phone, do we need to have proof of address to make an address change? I know Circ needs that when setting up an account, but I’m not sure about after the account is open and active. Thanks

No proof needed, please open the patron account and update the address. In a LEAP patron account, click on the REGISTRATION button to to access address information. Remember to SAVE when you are done updating. Then add a CHECK ADDRESS block. LEAP instructions for adding blocks are below.

    1. Select the BLOCKS link.
    2. Click on the LIBRARY ASSIGNED button.
    3. Choose CHECK ADDRESS.
    4. Click the green ADD button.
